Will the treatment hurt?

I can use light to very deep pressure to your preference, and during the treatment I will ask you if the pressure is acceptable to ensure that you feel comfortable.

If heavy pressure is necessary for treatment, it will not be extremely deep right away, as I have to slowly increase pressure to warm up the tissue. This decreases the side effect of soreness the next day.

Some people may feel tenderness in their muscles the next day. This does not happen to everyone but if you do experience it, it will only last 24-48 hours. This is not a negative side effect, but rather part of the healing process.

An easy way to decrease the chances of feeling soreness is to drink water immediately after the treatment and to drink twice as much water as usual throughout the remainder of the day. This will help flush toxins out of your system that were released during the massage and reduce pain.
